Ismatjon Azizov

Ismatjon Azizov is the chairman of the Narcotics Control Committee in Uzbekistan. He has been instrumental in the development of local narcotic express tests designed to detect 18 types of narcotics and psychotropic substances. Under his leadership, these tests are currently undergoing clinical trials, as part of a presidential initiative aimed at providing parents with the ability to anonymously check for drug use in their children. Azizov emphasized the importance of domestic production of these tests, which were previously imported, and highlighted the collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the agency for the control of narcotics and firearms in this endeavor.
