Issa Malgoubri

Issa Malgoubri is the CEO of Société de gestion et d’intermédiation Image Finances Internationales (SGI-IFI) and a prominent figure in the financial sector of Burkina Faso. He has been instrumental in the country's innovative approach to finance, particularly in introducing the first Islamic bond, or Sukuk, in Burkina Faso. This landmark initiative aims to diversify the nation's sources of funding and enhance its financial sovereignty, allowing both local and international investors, regardless of their religious affiliations, to participate in economic development projects through Sharia-compliant financial instruments.
