Isuf Kamera Çelaj

Isuf Kamera Çelaj was a commander of a militia known as vulnetara during World War II, composed of Albanians from the regions of Plav, Gusinje, and Albania. His actions and the role of his militia during the conflict have been controversial, with some historians linking them to crimes against the Orthodox population. A statue honoring him was recently removed by local authorities in Vusanje, leading to public protests and demonstrations advocating for his memory.
