Ithala Vathunuwave Gnananthilaka

Ithala Vathunuwave Gnananthilaka is a prominent Buddhist monk and the Chief Sangha Nayaka of the North Central Province in Sri Lanka. He has played a significant role in promoting Buddhist teachings and community welfare. Recently, he was in the news for meeting with Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya during her visit to Anuradhapura, where they discussed various issues related to public transportation and health services, as well as the educational conditions of children in the district.
