Iuliu Merca

Iuliu Merca (1948-1999) was a noted Romanian composer and musician, particularly known for his work in rock and blues music. He co-founded the band Semnal M, which became famous in the 1970s, and composed many songs that remain popular in Romanian music culture. His most famous works include 'Moara' and 'O roată de foc'. Merca's influence on the Romanian music scene continues to be celebrated.
