Iurie Podarilov

Iurie Podarilov is a former chief of the Inspectorate General of Police in Moldova, recently in the news for being charged with influence peddling alongside a judge, Garri Bivol. The case, initiated by the General Prosecutor's Office in October 2023, alleges that Podarilov attempted to solicit financial benefits from Bivol in exchange for leveraging influence over judicial decisions. Both individuals have pleaded not guilty, and the case is currently under examination at the Buiucani Court in Chișinău.
