Ivan Basso

Ivan Basso, a 47-year-old former professional cyclist from Italy, is a two-time Giro d'Italia winner, having claimed victory in 2006 and 2010. He has openly admitted to attempting to use performance-enhancing drugs during his career but later confessed to the authorities, resulting in a lengthy suspension from the sport. Basso has also overcome a battle with cancer and is now focused on revitalizing Italian cycling through his professional team, Team Polti VisitMalta.
