Ivan Cizelj is the director of the Zagreb Zoo, having recently been appointed through a public competition. An experienced zoologist, he is also responsible for Dumovec, a shelter for abandoned dogs and cats. Under his management, Dumovec has successfully reduced the population of stray dogs in Zagreb, providing care for around 120 animals and ensuring that lost pets are rescued and rehomed.
