Dr. Ivan Dorovski was a prominent Macedonian scholar and linguist, born in 1935 in the village of Chuka in Aegean Macedonia. He dedicated his life to the promotion and study of the Macedonian language and literature, particularly in the Czech Republic, where he became a key figure in the academic community. Over his prolific career, he authored 572 scientific and literary works, advocating for the recognition of the Macedonian language as a vital component of Slavic linguistic heritage. He served as a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Philosophy in Brno, contributing significantly to the understanding of Balkan literature and cultural exchanges. Dorovski passed away in 2021, leaving behind a legacy as one of the foremost advocates for Macedonian culture and language in Europe.
