Ivone Fernandes Ramos is the granddaughter of Armando Napoleão Fernandes and played a crucial role in the posthumous publication of his significant work, 'O Dialecto Crioulo,' which documents the Creole lexicon of Cape Verde. She was instrumental in retrieving the original manuscript from the Direcção-Geral da Cultura and ensuring its eventual publication in 1991, raising awareness about her grandfather's contributions to Cape Verdean linguistics and culture.
