Iwan Simatupang

Iwan Simatupang was an influential Indonesian novelist and writer known for his deep explorations of existential themes and human struggles in his works. His notable novel 'Ziarah,' published in 1969, won the ASEAN Best Novel Award in 1977 and reflects his personal grief following the death of his first wife, Corrine Imalda de Gaine.
