J. István is a 54-year-old man from Kerepes who has been implicated in a vote-buying scandal linked to the upcoming parliamentary elections in Hungary. He allegedly offered shopping vouchers in exchange for votes for a specific political party, using funds from the association he leads. Investigations by the Pest County Police have revealed that he distributed around 50-60 vouchers valued at 10,000 forints each, raising concerns about electoral integrity. J. István is also known as the president of the Cegléd Roma government and a pastor for the Church of God in Nagykőrös.
