J.J. Astor
John Jacob Astor IV, commonly known as J.J. Astor, was one of the wealthiest men aboard the Titanic and a prominent American business magnate, real estate developer, investor, writer, lieutenant colonel in the Spanish–American War, and an inventor. His tragic death in the disaster highlighted the scale of the tragedy, as he was one of the notable figures lost when the ship sank.
