J. Max Bond Sr.

J. Max Bond Sr. was a prominent Liberian educator and the first President of the University of Liberia, responsible for its transformation from Liberia College to a full-fledged university in 1951. Under his leadership, the institution merged with the William V. S. Tubman Teachers’ College, marking a significant milestone in higher education in Liberia and paving the way for future generations of professionals in the country.
