J. P. Narayan

J. P. Narayan was a prominent Indian independence activist and social reformer, best known for his leadership role during the 1974-75 movement against Indira Gandhi's government which culminated in the declaration of Emergency. Narayan advocated for civil rights and democracy, and his protests were pivotal in mobilizing public sentiment against authoritarian governance in India.
