Jacob Collins

Jacob Collins is a former Waikato police officer who was recently convicted for unlawfully using pepper spray against a motorist during a traffic stop. The incident, which occurred in January 2022, involved Collins demanding car keys from the driver without legal grounds and subsequently using force when the victim did not comply. Following the conviction, Collins was ordered to pay emotional harm reparation to the victim and has considered appealing the decision.
