Jacopo di Cione

Jacopo di Cione was a notable Italian painter of the 14th century, known for his contributions to the early Renaissance art movement in Florence. His works are characterized by their intricate details and religious themes, often depicting scenes from the Bible. One of his significant pieces, the 'Retable de San Pier Maggiore', was recently restored and featured in the National Gallery's reopening of the Sainsbury Wing.
