Jacques Ier

Jacques Ier (1689-1733) served as the Prince of Monaco for a brief period before abdicating in favor of his son, Honoré III. His reign lasted less than two years, and he was known for his desire to step away from the burdens of power, allowing the young prince to take over. Jacques was married to Louise-Hippolyte Grimaldi, whose untimely death left a significant impact on his life and reign.
