Jair Rodrigues

Jair Rodrigues, a 73-year-old veteran of the Rosas de Ouro samba school, has been a passionate member since 1972. Known for his slow steps and reliance on a cane, he represents the school's 'velha guarda' (old guard) and has held various roles, including former director of percussion. Despite health challenges preventing him from participating in recent parades, his dedication to the school remains unwavering, as he celebrated its emotional victory in the São Paulo Carnival of 2025.
