Jaka Said

Jaka Said, also known as Sunan Kalijaga, was a prominent figure in the spread of Islam in Java during the 15th century. Born a nobleman in Tuban, he underwent a significant transformation after an encounter with the revered ulama Sunan Bonang, leading him to adopt a more progressive approach to Islamic teachings through cultural means such as wayang and music.
