Jakub Jurkovič

Jakub Jurkovič is a Slovak entrepreneur and owner of the popular Mexican street food establishment Ty Somaru in Bratislava. Having initially ventured into the culinary scene in 2018, Jakub faced challenges that led to the temporary closure of his business. However, he persevered and revitalized Ty Somaru, which quickly gained popularity among local youth and influencers. Known for his approachable and inclusive philosophy, Jakub aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for all types of customers, regardless of their background. His passion for cooking, especially Mexican cuisine, is evident in his hands-on approach, as he personally prepares food every day. Recently, he made headlines when American singer Post Malone tasted his quesadilla during a festival, highlighting the growing reputation of Ty Somaru.
