Jalil Bongo Valentin

Jalil Bongo Valentin is the son of former Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba. Recently, he has been in the news for publicly disputing claims made by the transitional president, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, regarding his father's freedom of movement following a military coup that ousted Ali Bongo in August 2023. Jalil asserts that he and his family were subjected to ten months of house arrest and were deprived of basic communication and mobility.
