Jamal Ammar

Jamal Ammar is a 65-year-old grandfather living in Gaza who has been struggling to provide for his family amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis. As a result of the conflict, he has lost his son and is now responsible for caring for his five granddaughters, who are facing severe hunger. He uses storytelling and recitations from the Quran in an attempt to distract them from their constant hunger, while dealing with his own weight loss and emotional distress over their plight.
