Jamal Borhot

Jamal Borhot is a 35-year-old man from Calgary who was convicted of participating in terrorist activities for ISIS in Syria in 2013. He illegally entered Syria to assist in the group's operations, including recruiting others and engaging in violent acts, before returning to Canada after a year. He is currently facing a sentencing hearing where the Crown is seeking a 16-year prison term.
