James Candon

Born in Roscommon, James Candon is a recovering lawyer turned writer based in Belgium. He completed a master's in western literature at Leuven and gained recognition in literary circles, including participation in the International Flann O’Brien Conference. Since 2024, he has been running a multilingual literary festival on the island of Lopud, Croatia, which showcases writers from Ireland, Croatia, and beyond. This festival combines a focus on literary themes with cultural exchange, inviting participants to explore the concept of home through their writing.
