James Gomez Thompson

James Gomez Thompson is a chef and TV producer known for founding the Great Oven, an organization that builds community ovens in refugee camps and conflict zones. His inspiration for the project comes from childhood stories of communal cooking shared by his Spanish family, and he aims to provide dignity and a sense of ownership through food preparation in the areas affected by crisis. The Great Oven has established multiple ovens in Lebanon and South Africa, and is now expanding its reach to Palestine.
