James Kilroy
James Kilroy, a former park ranger, was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife, Valerie French, in July 2022. The case drew public interest not only due to the brutality of the crime but also because Kilroy pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, a defense that was rejected by the jury. He has since appealed his conviction.
