James Pearse

James Pearse was an accomplished stonemason and sculptor, known for his ecclesiastical works in Dublin. He was the father of Patrick and Willie Pearse, both of whom were executed after the 1916 Easter Rising. Despite his atheistic beliefs, he converted to Catholicism to safeguard his business interests and is recognized for his contributions to Ireland's cultural heritage.
