James Yap

James Yap is a lawyer and the acting director of the International Human Rights Program at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law. He recently filed a comprehensive complaint with the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise (CORE) alleging human rights violations in Namibia by the company Reconnaissance Energy Africa Ltd. Yap has voiced concerns about the uncertainty of CORE's operations and the status of ongoing investigations.
