Janice Makokis

Janice Makokis is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor and a member of the Saddle Lake Cree Nation in Treaty No. 6 territory. Her academic work focuses on Indigenous legal issues and the intersection of law and Indigenous rights, advocating for the recognition and respect of treaties and the sovereignty of First Nations.
