Jānis Brēmanis

Jānis Brēmanis is a former Latvian diplomat and government official who served in various capacities, including as a chargé d'affaires at the Latvian embassy in the United Arab Emirates and as a political and development advisor in Afghanistan. He has recently been in the news due to a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights, which dismissed his complaints against the Latvian state regarding the legality of searches conducted in connection with a criminal investigation into his alleged embezzlement of over €102,721 during his diplomatic career.
