
Jānis Maļeckis
Jānis Maļeckis, born in 1957, is a distinguished musician and visual artist from Latvia. He graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music and has held various prestigious positions, including a professorship at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. Maļeckis has been involved in painting since childhood, receiving mentorship from notable artists and furthering his studies at the Latvian Academy of Arts. He is a member of the Latvian Artists' Union since 2004 and has participated in numerous exhibitions both locally and internationally, showcasing his artistic talents through solo and group exhibitions. His recent exhibition titled 'Nošu ainavas' can be seen at the Jūras vārti theater until September 28.
