Janita Wiersma is an accomplished printmaker and former studio assistant of renowned Newfoundland artist David Blackwood. With a decade of experience working alongside Blackwood, she has developed a deep understanding of the intricate techniques of printmaking. Currently managing Blackwood's archive, Wiersma plays a vital role in preserving his legacy, including demonstrating his meticulous process to visitors, despite the fact that no new works can be created posthumously.
