Jarman
Jarman is a resilient woman who has become wheelchair-bound following a spinal surgery that left her with significant paralysis. After undergoing multiple operations to address cysts in her lumbar spine, she faced devastating complications that dramatically changed her life. Despite her challenges, including grief and the loss of her previous active lifestyle, Jarman has fought for accountability by lodging a complaint with the Health and Disability Commissioner. She has also taken steps to support others in similar situations, finding purpose in helping those transitioning to new ways of living. Jarman is now studying for a degree in health and wellbeing with a focus on disabilities, and she advocates for the use of medicinal cannabis for pain relief, despite facing hurdles in funding her treatment.
