Jasmina Jovanović tragically lost her life during the demonstrations in Belgrade on October 5, 2000, which marked the end of Slobodan Milošević's regime. She was from Miloševac near Velika Plana and succumbed after being struck by a truck amidst the chaos of the protests that sought to overturn the government's refusal to recognize the election results.
