Jason Thoroughgood

Jason Thoroughgood, 57, is a veteran miner who has dedicated over four decades of his life to the Myuna coal mine near Newcastle, Australia. He started working at the mine straight out of school at the age of 16 and has since become a key figure among the nearly 300 workers facing job losses due to a dispute between the mine's owner, Centennial Coal, and its customer, Origin Energy, over coal pricing for the Eraring power station.
