Jasten Candunde

Jasten Candunde, a 42-year-old Mozambican national, was recently sentenced to two years in prison in Zambia for plotting to kill President Hakainde Hichilema using witchcraft, alongside his accomplice Leonard Phiri. The pair were convicted under a colonial-era witchcraft law after being found in possession of various items intended for a supernatural ritual aimed at harming the president.
