Javed Jahan

Javed Jahan is a prominent member of the Bangladesh Environmental Movement (BAPA) and serves as the secretary of the Old Dhaka Inhabitants Forum. He has been actively involved in the movement to protect Osmani Udyan, advocating against the construction of permanent concrete structures within parks and green spaces. Jahan argues that the integrity of such public areas is paramount and that alternative locations should be sought for memorials and constructions to preserve the character of urban parks.
