Javier Caiza Torres

Javier Caiza Torres was a 30-year-old Ecuadorian soldier who achieved his childhood dream of joining the military, motivated by the support of his uncle after the death of his mother. He enlisted in the Ecuadorian Army in September 2014, serving with dedication until he was tragically killed in an attack while on duty in the Amazon region of Orellana on May 9, 2023. His commitment to the military and aspirations were remembered fondly by family members during his funeral.
