Javier Eduardo Franco Castillo

Javier Eduardo Franco Castillo has been appointed as the new head of the Superintendencia Nacional de Aduanas y de Administración Tributaria (Sunat) in Peru, following the official resolution by the government to replace Edward Víctor Alberto Tovar Mendoza. Franco, a certified public accountant with a degree in Business Administration and a Master's in Tax Management and Policy, brings over 20 years of experience within the Sunat, having held various high-level positions, including Intendente de Tributos Internos and Superintendente Nacional Adjunto de Tributos Internos. His extensive background in tax administration and enforcement positions him as a key figure in the Peruvian government's efforts to strengthen its tax collection and management systems.
