Javier García Martínez

Javier García Martínez is a Costa Rican economist with a Master's degree in Business Economics. He has held significant leadership positions, including serving as the former director of the Costa Rican Water and Sewerage Institute (AyA) and the general manager of Coopearopal and Coopeliberia. A member of the Rotary Club and now retired, García has been outspoken about the need for modernization and transparency in Costa Rica's port operations, particularly regarding the controversial bidding process for Puerto Caldera, which he argues may hinder foreign investment and competitive growth.
