Jean Carlu

Jean Carlu (1900-1997) was a celebrated French graphic designer and poster artist, known for his contributions to the visual arts and advertising in the early to mid-20th century. His work is characterized by bold colors, modernist designs, and a keen understanding of visual communication. Carlu created the first artist-designed label for Château Mouton Rothschild in 1924, setting a precedent for the winery's tradition of collaborating with notable artists.
