Aveyra was also a talented athlete, having played professional football and excelled in boxing. His legacy includes not only his entrepreneurial achievements but also his commitment to social development, as he co-founded an educational institution that nurtured Gabon's elite. Aveyra's memory was honored posthumously on December 22, 2024, when a public square in Libreville was named 'Place Jean-François Aveyra.'
