Jean Le Rond D’Alambert

Jean Le Rond D’Alambert was an influential French mathematician, physicist, and philosopher, born in 1717. A prominent figure of the Enlightenment, he contributed to the development of differential equations and mechanics, and he is best known for his work on the Encyclopédie, which he co-edited with Denis Diderot.
