Jean-Paul Hoffmann is a local historian and the president of the 'Veiner Geschichtsfrënn' in Vianden. At 82 years old, he is one of the few remaining eyewitnesses to the early years of the Vianden chairlift, having experienced its inaugural day as a schoolboy.
