Jean Rémi Ossibadjouo

Jean Rémi Ossibadjouo is the Director General of the National Blood Transfusion Center (CNTS) in Gabon. He recently highlighted the country's significant progress in blood collection, surpassing WHO recommendations, while also emphasizing the ongoing challenges in ensuring a fully secure and voluntary blood donation system. At the opening of the first National Blood Transfusion Days, he reported that Gabon collected 27,317 blood bags in 2024, but noted that a substantial portion of donations still comes from family members, indicating a need for legal reforms and enhanced public health initiatives.
