Jeet Bhatti

Jeet Bhatti is a compassionate 20-year-old animal rescuer and the founder of Wagging Hearts Foundation in Naigaon, Mumbai. He has been dedicated to rescuing and sheltering stray animals since his teenage years, housing 28 dogs and 63 cats at his shelter. During the devastating floods in August 2023, he faced significant challenges as the floodwaters rose to nearly four feet inside his shelter, resulting in the tragic loss of several animals. Despite the overwhelming circumstances, he coordinated rescue efforts with local authorities and fellow animal lovers, highlighting his commitment to the welfare of animals. Bhatti aims to construct a more resilient shelter to protect the animals from future disasters.
