Jekaterina Fatjanova

Jekaterina Fatjanova is a 37-year-old journalist from Krasnojarsk, Russia, who was subjected to forced psychiatric treatment after being accused of discrediting the Russian armed forces through her work with an opposition newspaper. Hospitalized in April 2023, she described her experience as traumatic and degrading, including invasive medical procedures. Fatjanova was released after being evaluated and found to have no mental disorders, and she believes her detention was a form of moral repression due to her civic activism.
