Jeniré Mena

Jeniré Mena is a 40-year-old Venezuelan costume designer who survived the tragic collapse of the Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo on April 8, 2023, where 233 people lost their lives. Trapped for five hours under the rubble, Jeniré suffered severe injuries, including a spinal inflammation and fractures, which have left her with the daunting challenge of rehabilitation. A single mother, she is determined to regain her mobility and return to her work in film, theater, and television, despite the physical and emotional toll of the incident. Jeniré plans to join the legal actions against the nightclub's owners, seeking justice for the victims and their families.
