Jerzy Kukuczka was a renowned Polish mountaineer known for being the second person to climb all 14 of the world's 8,000-meter peaks, achieving this remarkable feat in 1987. He was recognized for his innovative climbing techniques and often tackled the highest mountains without supplemental oxygen, following in the footsteps of the legendary Reinhold Messner.
